Traveler "Denise"Aug 2, 2016
Hello Travel Nurses my name is Denise. I am a Proud Mother of three Children and Grandma of four. I have been blessed in my Twenty-Four year nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Skilled and qualified in Long Term Care, Rehabilitative Care, Med Surge, Clinical Care, and ,Management.
Several of my co-workers became travel nurses the past couple of years and have loved it! Feeling I reached a stagnant point in my career I placed an application with Prime Time Healthcare. My Recruiter Chris Plourde called me right away and informed me of all the details and advantages of travel nursing. Still I was scared to make that final commitment. Chris was supportive, encouraging, trusting and patient over the next couple months while I weighed and prayed about my future options. My Kids and Grandchildren all live out of state, no committed relationship, so REALLY nothing holding me back.
Then BAM!!! Chris called one Friday on my day off and together we reviewed some potential travel nursing opportunities. I choose New Hampshire to look at first and I must say the REST is History. It was love at first sight. I knew I was ready to take the next step in my life. Online I researched beautiful beaches, hiking trails, whale watching, moose sightings, mountains two hours away and beautiful countryside views. That was just before NOON and then at 4:55pm I accepted my first Travel Assignment. Then two weeks later I was on my way to New Hampshire.
The facility I work at is Amazing, so friendly, helpful, and clean. I was definitely in love with the total package Prime Time Healthcare offered. Plenty of Over Time available or just enjoy the day off site seeing. Chris and I joke that travel nursing is my Work-Cation , Indeed I am having the time of my life, so much so I have decided to extend my assignment another 13 weeks. Chris is GREAT!! I always know Prime Time Healthcare has my back and checks in on me to see if I am ok and to make sure I am happy.
So, if you are out there teetering like I was, STOP and jump right in! You will not regret it. Enjoy a Work-Cation as I am and see all the places others wish they could. If you would like to learn more you can reach my recruiter at 402-505-5179 anytime. (P.S. check out a couple of my pictures, Historic Fenway Park and Hampton Beach.
