Not just a job, it's an adventure

“In my opinion, every Nurse or CNA should give traveling a try at least once.” “The experience is packed with great opportunities and I am the perfect example…you never know what is in store for you….”

These words were from Brandi, an LPN from Tennessee that I have worked closely with for the past 3 months. Brandi started her travel career like most, eager but unsure of what to expect and at the same time trusting that I would have her best interest at heart.

Over Easter weekend, Brandi arrived to her first travel position in Maine. Much to her surprise when she arrived she was invited by the Administrator of the facility to eat dinner with him and his family. Immediately this made Brandi feel that she was valued as an employee of Prime Time Healthcare and valued by the facility.

As time went on, Brandi was able to experience warm welcomes and nice smiles at the facility. I also kept my promise of dedicated time to calling her every week to chat and was able to hear about the good impact that this experience has had on her career. Brandi has repeatedly told me that she didn’t think she would be able to ever leave because they are so good to her and she is enjoying her assignment so much.

There was one week in particular that I remember Brandi telling me how she had met an amazing man in Maine. As time went on, I began to see that this person was someone that Brandi was enjoying spending time with and was getting pretty close to. Needless to say I was extremely happy that she was doing so well. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better for Brandi, she informed me that he had proposed to her and they were going to be getting married on a beach in Maine. Wow! I have never heard such a happiness from someone and she laughed when I reminded her that just three months ago I had said traveling with Prime Time Healthcare was going to change her life forever. Not only that, but I just learned that her daughter was able to find a place in Maine and is now moving there! Brandi has found such joy in this new opportunity that she doesn’t think she will ever leave.

This is just one of the many incredible stories that I have been honored to be a part of while being a recruiter here at Prime Time. Needless to say, in the case of Brandi, and many others, Prime Time Healthcare truly does radically impact the lives of the nurses that we dedicate our time and services to.
